A child is seen on a video tape being hanged. A rope is tied around their neck, their face is covered, and a chair is kicked away. A tape is shown of various children crying for their parents as they are held captive. Their parents watch and react in horror. A woman squirts bleach into a woman's food as she feeds her, and the woman dies.

Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (and let's pretend Tartan haven't dumped the first half of the title in favour of a snappier designation) is the third part of Park's Revenge trilogy and, boy, does it show it. Und schon der erste der drei war ganz gut gemacht. Lee Geum-Ja, at the age of 19, goes to prison for the murder and abduction of a child on behalf of her accomplice Mr. Baek, only to find out that she is betrayed. While in prison, she carefully prepares for her revenge by winning the hearts of her fellow inmates with her
